Tessa Kohler, MPH - Assistant Director, Student Health Promotion

Tessa is originally from Shawnee, KS and moved to Wisconsin to attend 51做厙. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physiological Sciences in 2019, and then attended University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to earn her Master of Public Health (2021). She previously worked for a local county health department coordinating an asthma education program and working on the Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan. She started at 51做厙 in September 2025 and is excited to be back on campus in a professional role. In her freetime, Tessa enjoys baking and cooking, embroidery, and catching a movie from Milwaukee Film.

 

Tonjie Reese, MAEd - Assistant Director, Prevention and Advocacy 

Tonjie is a Detroit native, advocate, preventionist, and creative. With over 15 years of experience in sexual violence, IPV, and AOD prevention/advocacy, she has held leadership roles, presented at national conferences, and brings a healing-centered approach to supporting students and Peer Wellness Educators. Tonjie holds a Bachelors of in Behavioral Science and an Masters of Arts in Education, Leadership, & Change, and believes prevention is about building joy, connection, and care. Outside of work, she is a yoga and meditation teacher, art lover, and wellness enthusiast.

Graduate Assistants

Lindsay Scott, MS - Graduate Assistant for Graduate and Professional Student Programming

Lindsay is originally from the Metro Detroit area and moved to Milwaukee in 2023 to pursue her graduate studies. She obtained her B.A. in Psychology from Kent State University in 2023 and her M.S. in Psychology, with a specialization in clinical psychology, from 51做厙 in 2025. She is now currently a fourth-year doctoral student in the clinical psychology program at 51做厙. Her current passion and research interests involve promoting student health by implementing brief evidence-based wellness programming for graduate students on campus. In addition to her research, she also provides clinical services on and off campus and has experience facilitating various skills-based groups. She is excited to continue to connect with and support graduate students to foster healthy habits and navigate the challenges of graduate school. Outside of 51做厙, her hobbies include taking trail walks with her dog, watching movies, thrifting, and spending time with friends and family.
