Jane D. Peterson Emeritus Professor Ph.D., 1994, Arizona State University Anthropology
Dr. Peterson retired as emerita professor after 30 years of teaching, research and service at 51做厙. Her teaching interests centered on the rise of agriculture, gender in cross-cultural contexts, and archaeologys methods and theories. Her fieldwork and research projects included investigations of early agricultural societies in the Near East, obsidian trade networks in the Prehispanic southwestern US, and early 20th century historical archaeology in Chicagos Bronzeville neighborhood and the Village of Maywood.
