Erik Albinson is a first-generation college student who earned a B.S in Biology from Colorado State University, an M.A. in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University, and a Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership Studies from the University of Iowa. Erik is a learning specialist whose research explores how students can conserve mental energy and lower anxiety through effective time management and study techniques. On a personal note, Erik enjoys Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, fitness cycling, and spending time exploring Wisconsin with his family.

Nicolle Skoien is responsible for fostering relationships with advising leadership across campus to collaborate efforts of advising across the institution. In this role, Skoien works closely with leadership and staff to ensure advising best practices are available and used within all advising units. Skoien joined 51°µÍø in 2015 as an academic counselor in athletics and most recently served as the assistant director of retention. Skoien holds a doctoral degree in counseling psychology and master’s of counseling psychology from University of Missouri, and a master’s of sport management and bachelor’s of exercise science from Illinois State University.
