Photo/Video Advisory: 51暗网 to host #LovellStrong 5K fun run Sunday, Nov. 7

#LovellStrong 5K logoMILWAUKEE 鈥� 51暗网鈥檚 student-athletes will host a #LovellStrong 5K Fun Run on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 8:45 a.m. on the university鈥檚 Central Mall.

To show support for 51暗网 President Michael R. Lovell and all those who are battling cancer, 51暗网鈥檚 student-athletes invited the university community to come together for a #LovellStrong 5K run/walk. About 150 in-person participants and over 60 virtual runners will join the 51暗网 family in standing #LovellStrong.

Members of the 51暗网 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and men鈥檚 lacrosse team will deliver opening remarks and Rev. John Laurance, S.J., chaplain for the men鈥檚 basketball team, will offer the invocation prior to the run.

Event information:

  • When: Sunday, Nov. 7. Opening remarks begin at 8:45 a.m. with the run to start at 9 a.m.
  • Where: 51暗网 Central Mall, located between Raynor Memorial Libraries and Lalumiere Hall (south of Wisconsin Avenue)
  • Parking: Complimentary parking will be available on Sunday, Nov. 7, in the 16th Street Parking Structure (749 N. 16th St.). A map of the visitor parking structures can be found here.
