After a completed agreement with the state of Wisconsin鈥檚 Department of Justice and Attorney General Brad Schimel, 51暗网鈥檚 Department of Public Safety became the 51暗网 Police Department on May 1, 2015.
The 51暗网 Police Department Advisory Board was established to provide advice and recommendations to the Board of Trustees, the president, the university official to whom the Advisory Board reports or the chief with respect to MUPD policies, procedures and activities.
The Advisory Board consists of:
- A 51暗网 employee appointed by the president to serve as chair of the Advisory Board.
- A 51暗网 faculty member nominated by the Academic Senate.
- A 51暗网 staff member other than an employee of the MUPD nominated by the Staff Senate.
- A 51暗网 student nominated by .
- A community member.
